First and foremost, Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone!! If you have kids, please make sure and put green on them or they will be forced to go through school all day getting pinched by every wise guy out there. If you are wondering where we were when I snapped this shot, we were at breakfast. Yes, I take my kids to breakfast a lot. We go just before I take them to school and we LOVE it. We go to this little place called Zeig's Cafe. This place is a huge weakness for me. The food is great and it is really inexpensive. And I have no mess to clean up after breakfast. I am trying not to go as often as I was because it really is not in the budget. I still go about 2 or 3 times a week. That's still a lot...I know.
This is Christy. She is the waitstaff manager (meaning she is the only waitress most of the time), the cashier and she is also in charge of answering the phone and taking phone orders. She is a multi-tasker. She is one of the best waitresses, ever. Apparently, while I was over taking this shot of Christy, Emma Mae was back at the table getting into trouble.
This man is a regular at Zeig's. I wish I knew his name but I can't think of it off hand. I know his wife's name is Marie and he is a retired Navy man. I know all of this just because we talk at Zeig's. Anyway, Emma Mae was trying to get out of her highchair and he saved her. Thanks, sweet husband of Marie.
This is a shot of the kitchen. The man in the green is Hugh and he is the owner of this fine establishment. He is also the cook, sometimes waiter, sometimes cashier, and father to Christy. In case you haven't noticed this is a family run business. The guy behind the guy on the right (you can only see his little cap brim) is Kevin. He is a cook, sometimes cashier, never waiter, son to Hugh and brother to Christy. Sometimes, some of them argue and it is wonderful. I feel like I'm at home with some big loving family. The only one who I did not get a picture of is Carol. She is the other waitress, sometimes cashier, never cook, mother to Christy, wife to Hugh and mother to Kevin.
Sorry, I forgot about Kenneth. He is the Saturday morning, Tuesday & Thursday evening cook, brother to Christy, son to Hugh, brother to Kevin, son to Carol. He makes some mean fried fish.
Anyway, another place on the list of places in Georgia to visit. I sure love it!

Ok....for some reason the pictures didn't come up for me, but this place sounds fabulous! If I ever get to come back to Georgia to visit then we must go!
You are getting so good at this bloggiin! Shelby calls it iggie's. It's one of her favorite places to go too, but we really have to watch her she will eat 6 pieces of bacon, all of mine and all of Harry's if we let her. She orders the cheese grits though and usually eats all those too. I'm still with out my computer and phone so I'm at the shop on Trav's. I couldn't pick up your pictures you took at Zeig's. But we totally agree about it being a great place to eat! Love ya...
miss spelled the verification word again! Twice
Well...I don't know what's wrong with you guys and why you silly folks can't see the pics. Nobody else has had a problem.
I'm just kidding. Listen, do we remember my profession? Was it in technology? Noooo. Anywho, I think the kinks are worked out and thanks for bringing that to my attention so that I wouldn't look like a total dork.
Please tell me that you told them you were blogging this!?!
Listen I love Zeig's. Well we all do in my family. We go every Saturday. It is our thing. Well it really started because of you however since my Karin went because of me I guess I can call it my thing now.
So I can not believe that you took all of those pic. at the rest. I can say the kitchen looks clean. So we will have to do breakfast when i come in.
MIght I as why there is a deleted comment?
Girly you crack me up!!! I love to listen to you talk!_christon
I've never been here either...I thought I knew all the yummy spots in bwk. I am with though on the 'no mess to clean up', I take my kids out more than I should for that very reason.
If I lived in Georgia, I'd take my daughter for breakfast. Mostly, all we have in UK are 'greasy spoons' - transport caffs for truckers! I loved breakfast in a diner when I was in the US, I didn't have to eat for the rest of the day! Husband did roll his eyes when I ordered a 'nice cup of tea', though! I'm just so British!
This is a lovely post - and a very clean kitchen.
It's one of my favourite times of the week when we take Ellie to breakfast at Tea & Times in Whitstable.
We sit up at the counter and she watches the staff (mostly pretty girls - so Ricarro 'helps') make sandwiches and coffees.
I'll post a photo of her enjoying her scrambled eggs and banana milkshake one day.
Harmony- I can't wait for you to come and meet me at Zeig's. Also, not sure why the comment was deleted. I think it was the silly person who wrote it.
Jordan- Yes, I definately told them. Hopefully, they will like it.
Christon- We can be best friends. If you love to listen to me, I will sure love to talk to you. Thanks for visitin' my blog.
Working mum- You are also more than welcome to come visit, but you might be out of luck on the tea, unless it's okay for it to be cold in a glass with ice, lots of sugar and a straw.
Hey, BTW that was me that deleted my comments. I spelled so many things wrong and once I proofed it the only thing I could do was to delete it. So it wasn't any real pervert deleting things on your blog.
Hey, I got the pictures and they were great and that was a great post especially because we are all big fans of iggie's!
Hey also, I saw the AT&T man in my yard but I still think it will be days because of the mess we have in our yard. I'm at the shop for a few mins. Are you coming to watch me teach the apple dumplings tonight? Please come.
Amanda,
Your babies are so stinkin' cute!
This is a great place to eat. Emma Mae just wanted to help you take the pictures.
