Washing Machine
Nine years it has lived
washing it has done by loads
even peed on sheets
cleaned more than it's share
started making weird noises
now it won't turn on
went to store got anew
high efficiency washer
what will become of you?
Whatever. It was a haiku. I have no poetic talent. I think we already knew that. You get my point. Thank you, Echo for the inspiration.

I love it! I haven't written a real poem in about 18 years and it's a good thing, I was so cheesy when I was in my poetry stage. :-) I hope you find a good machine to replace it. Maybe a front loader.
aOh sad that this one died and that you have to shell out the money to buy a new one, but how exciting to get a new washing machine!!!
It's real poetry; from the heart. Nine years and it's got to go.
I want a new HE so bad, but not bad enough to kill off the old one. I think that both my W/D are what you would call senior citizens. Maybe it won't be to long now.
Enjoy!
I love the poem. I knew you had the talent.
Only a bunch of crazy people would blog and comment about a WASHER!. What has our life came to. My washer plays a big party in our everyday duties. So please tell, what washer did you get and why? How much can you stuff in the beast!
