Who, Me?

Pardon me, do you have a minute to talk about me? Thanks, that would be great. I don't care if this comes off completely egotistical and self absorbed. I am having a great day and I am going to celebrate it. I wasn't even going to blog today. Yesterday was a pretty rough day and I wasn't feeling excited about much of anything. Maybe I was overwhelmed. I don't know. Point is, today I feel pretty good. My hair did exactly what I wanted it to. I got myself a pretty new green dress for Easter Sunday. I still have it on and it is after dark. I spoke at Church today and I feel like that went pretty well. Mostly because my friend Gigi was at my side cheering me on. It's not often that I want a picture taken of me, much less try to take one of myself but today I was feeling pretty good. Although, the longer I look at that picture, I'm starting to find some faults. My right arm looks a little pudgy. Why does the one eye look a little lazy? What's going on with the hair behind one ear and not the other? I should stop before my day takes a nose dive.

It's fun to see you on the blog! Of-course, it's been over 10 years since I have seen you in person and to be totally honest, you look the same... darling as ever. Pretty impressive I must say after 4 children and 9 years of marriage! You are beautiful on the outside, but your personality almost pops off the page in the photo and that is what truly makes you so great. Hope you have a great day tomorrow as well.

you were very sassy in your green dress today. I think you gave a most excellent talk today at church. You also made some good potatoe salad and a mean carrot cake.

I loved you in green. Nothing like a new dress to help make you feel like you are back in the real world and not just in the mommy world all the time. There is notin wrong with wearing it all day either. When I was little we didn't get shoes very often and we always just got tennis shoes. We even wore them with our church dresses after mama washed all of them Saturday nights, remember I am the oldest of 5 children, anyhoo, I loved my new shoes so much I'd go to sleep in them for about the first week and mama would have to come in and take them off of me after I passed out. New shoes are great too!

BTW you did a wonderful job on your talk and I was honored to be on the program with you and the other ladies, I'm just glad that it is over. Lookiing forward to a good spring break week! See ya later.........

Amanda you are so beautiful. I mean it!! I'm glad that you are having such a great day. Every mom deserves great days more than they get them!! I'm glad you decided to post too! Thanks

Yes - you still look shiny and new.

Better get a grip on that self-criticism though - it's entirely NOT justified.
