Four score and seven years ago...wait that was something else...I know I have it here somewhere...Ok. Here it is. Seven years ago, on this very day, at 3 pm I was in labor bringing this wonderful child into the world. I feel like his tiny little life is flying by right before my very eyes. I thought I would share a few cute stories:
When we told Jonathon I was pregnant with Jackson, he said, " I want a big brother". Oh, the pains of being the oldest.
After we had Madigan (Jackson was about a year old) he said, " She can stay but I want Jackson to go back where he came from", when asked by someone how he liked having the new baby around.
When he was about 3, we were grilling out at my mom's house and Jonathon went right over and touched the grill. Both of his hands started blistering immediately and I, of course, was in a total panic. We called our doctor and he told us what to put on his hands and said he would be fine. The next morning our doctor called and said he had worried about it all night and could we bring him in. (what a great doctor, huh?) So we took him in and the doctor wrapped up both of his hands in these big white 'puffs' (ok, I'll never be a writer, whatever). Anyway, it was the kind of deal that looked like mummy hands and he could not move his fingers individually. So, my sister is over a couple of days later and we are getting ready to leave. I yell out to Jonathon, "You better get your shoes on, I know you know how!!" Meanwhile, my poor sister is looking at my sad little son and his 'puffy' hands and says, " Amanda, I don't think he can..." Am I a horrible mom or what? You know that this whole scene was followed by me groveling on my knees begging for his forgiveness.
He forgave me. And you know what, he continues to forgive me daily. That's the great thing about kids. They get over whatever horrible thing we have done and love us anyway. I know, I know one day soon he will be a teenager and that will all change...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JONATHON!
Good stories Amanda. If you don't write them down time has a way of forgetting them.
Doesn't the time just fly by? Buddy just turned 6 and I still can barely believe he's so grown up.
Happy birthday to your lovebug.
Happy Birthday Jonathon.
Every year on the Bethany and Noah's birthday I tell them of the day they came into the world.
On Lynsey, Kelsea, and Christopher's Birthday I talk to them about what I know about how they came into the world but since I wasn't here I mostly talk to them about the first time I met them.
Can't wait until Disney
