Forgive Me for I Have Sinned...

A few weeks ago, I'm supposed to have an appointment with my hairdresser 'Shenice' (protecting the innocent and all). She is normally so fabulous, does a great job on the 'do' and usually so understanding if I have to cancel. Josh tells me he is working and will not be able to make it home to babysit while I get my hair done. I call Shenice. She seems very nice about the whole cancellation and says she will call back to reschedule.

A week and she doesn't call.

I call her. It is on a Monday and the shop is closed on Mondays. I leave a message. 'Hey, it's Amanda, sorry about the cancellation, call me back at the house or on the cell to reschedule. Thanks.'

3 more days. Still no call. How can she be so mean? Doesn't she know that I have 4 kids? I have to rely on family to babysit because I don't have a nursery or grown babysitter to watch them. I commence to complain about her insensitivity to anyone who will listen. I get numbers of two new hairdressers. Ready to call them, still wish she would forgive me and we could get back on track.

2 more days. I'm picking up Jonathon from school. I realize I have a missed call on cell phone. It's mother-in-law. She left a voice mail. I hear the lady on the other end say, 'message, 2 weeks ago', then I hear sweet Shenice. She says, ' Amanda, I'm trying to call you back to reschedule our appointment. Call me.'

Doh! I hate it when that happens. I have called and rescheduled my appointment for next week. Does anyone know a good babysitter?

I sure do. You can bring your kids here anytime. They can play have snack. Just think what you could get done while they were here. To bad it would take you two days to get here and back....I feel where your coming from it is really hard. And to really trust someone who is not one of your own to babysit is so hard. You never know what could happen that would flip your world over and into pieces.

I went six months without a haircut last year and I've only got one child! I have a hairdresser that does the opposite to me though, she cancels and then I have to rearrange babysitter! Strange world. Loved Jonathon's picture - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I hate it when that happens. Someone calls and some how your phone doesn't tell you that you've got a missed call or a message!!! I have a hair dresser that has done my hair since I lived in Hawaii and now she lives in Logan. She comes down and does my hair and two of our friends hair (s?) at our friends house, so I can just take the kids with me. It's nice! And she doesn't charge us very much. I know, I know, I haven't let Leah do my hair yet....Not because I don't trust her talents, but because in some strange way I feel like I'm betraying my hair dresser! She has always gone out of her way for me and I feel bad. But she is about to have a baby, so maybe during that time I will "have" to get my hair cut and I'll go to Leah!
