Who Me? Again?

I am working on perfecting the art of taking a picture of myself. I have never been one to include myself in any pictures. I just wanted pictures of my family and friends. But now I am learning that it is a good thing to take pictures of yourself, even if they aren't always the most flattering. Come learn with me.
You have to make sure that one of your kids is not in the background trying to creep into your picture. Thanks for stealing my thunder, Jonathon. Also, maybe don't put the camera up high. Just put it out in front of you.

In this shot I'm getting a little better at not putting it up so high. I actually like this one of my mom and I. I really like my $24 Disney sunglasses. If your going to Disney anytime soon, try not to forget anything like that because they may ask for your first born child.

It gets really tricky trying to photograph yourself with a small child. You have to bend and that is never good.

And lastly, this is my favorite. I know what you are thinking. 'What a flattering shot of yourself, Amanda'. Well, thank you very much. You can see that I was really trying. I can't believe I even put that one up. I'm willing to sacrifice my pride for you all to learn the art of self photography. I challenge each and every one of you to take pictures of yourself. You don't have to put it on your blog, but I would really like it if you did.

I love all the pictures...you're right...I'm in very few pictures...I'm usually the one behind the camera trying to preserve my children...They might be happy if I did a little self preservation, since they're too young to do it for themselves.

Pictures are so fun. I'm always putting pictures of myself up. I learn from America's Next Top Model that what's closest to the camera appears the largest. I always try to put the top half of my face slightly closer to minimize my chins. And my head closer than the rest of me so I don't end up looking like I have a tiny little head on a BIG HUGE body (which I kinda do).

Hey, did you take lessons from Lynsey?? You did a good job. I'll have to try it when I get my camera fixed, or buy a new one. I really want a new one and then I want to take a class to learn how to be better at using it and picture taking.

Those are great photos. I accept your challenge and will get round to posting up another photo of me sometime soon.

That last one looks a little uncomfortable... can you tell me what your daughter is doing to her face?

I will be checking everyone's blogs for self portraits.

Sass- along with trying not to cooperate with me, she was rubbing her eyes. She was exhausted. Disney was a little too much for her.

You have helped me overcome my embarrassment of self photography! I applaud you from my laptop! What fun is it to document each moment of my child's life if I'm not there with her in the photos? As soon as I stop laughing my head off (you have an amazing way with words, btw!) I'm going to go take more pictures of Elena and me :)

This is on my list for the weekend. How many different people can I take my picture with? Hum?..Do you think the clerk at the Gas Station in the morning would mind me taking our picture when I buy my pop? We will see.
