She sure looks like an angel doesn't she?
I mean, does it get any cuter than that?
Oh, she's just a dream. She is a complete and total joy to be around. All the time. She never fusses. And she looks just like that every minute.
While she is a joy to be around, I would definately not say that she is angelic all the time. I've not seen too many angels but I can say pretty positively, that angels do not throw themselves to the floor when they are not allowed to suck on crayons. She's doing that now. Throwing herself to the floor. And she will try to bang her little forehead on the floor, but then she realizes that it really hurts so she gets even madder. When it's time to eat, she wants to be able to use a utensil but she doesn't really know how so I am hesitant to let her. She ends up pushing all of the food to the floor with the spoon. Then I have to take the spoon away and then the tantrum ensues. Why is this happening so early with her? Is it because she's my last baby, so subconsciously I'm treating her differently? You know. Spoiling her? Whatever it is that I'm doing, it is certainly not intentional. I think she just sees all of the big kids doing things that she wants to do. I just get so frustrated because I don't know what to do.
What do they say, ' This too shall pass'? We'll see.

I think that those are the cutest pictures of Emma Mae. Did you take them? They are great!
I think she is right on schedule with the temper tantrums. Rea is doing the same things. She will not eat anything off the spoon I try and put in her mouth but if I give her the spoon she'll eat it. She wants to do everything herself.
Emma Mae is so cute.

Those are great pictures ... She sounds like our youngest and last child ... I think she has last baby syndrome. I was the last baby, but fortunately I didn't get the syndrome. Good luck ... Ours is 5 and he still acts like that. I think its good that you accept that you treat her differently ... we certainly do ... and while admitting that you are contributing to the problem is admirable ... it does nothing to cure the syndrome ... However thank you for sharing, It's nice to know there are others dealing with LBS!
I love chubby little baby cheeks! I have no advice on the subject of her tantrums as I have no children. BUT...I do have Nate and when he throws a tantrum I tell him to quit acting like a little girl. That won't help with Emma Mae, sorry.
Oh yes, the age of feeling out her independence. You have to squash it like a bug! That, or wait til she grows out of it.
I left you the entire paraplegic dance story on my blog!
OH SHE IS SOOOOO CUTE!!!! I don't know about the treating her different because she is the last, since I don't have a "last" child just yet. But all the info I have is......Sea was about that old and when he would begin to do it, I would leave the room and let him do it. With nobody around to watch it would stop. Then if he followed me, I would just go to another room. After a few times of realizing that I didn't care if he threw a fit......it stopped. So that is the only advice I have. Sorry!!
cute pics! no advice from me:) hehe
She's gorgeous. Can't believe she tantrums!
Ellie does the lying on the floor and shouting thing though. I do what Elizabeth says and get on with other stuff.
On the food thing - Ellie eats really well with other children. With me? Not so good.
Get your older children to talk to her about her food, how to eat and so on. That might encourage her to see eating well as a good social activity.
Also, put a big sheet of plastic or loads of paper down on the floor, so that if she chucks food about it doesn't annoy you so much. That's saved me from going nuts at the boredom of constant cleaning and wiping.
Does Emma Mae look more like Josh? I definitely think that Maddie looks like you, but not so much with Emma Mae. I love that she's Emma Mae. That's the cutest name ever.
Emma Mae is so cute.
Bethany and Noah (I thought) was always big for their age. I mean they had older brother and sisters and they always want to do what the older ones are doing.
As far as tantrums. Noah did it a few times on the ground. I just stepped over him and it stopped. I am not saying that they still don't get a little fitty but I think all kids do. Don't they?
She is precious! Her & ray could start a union for tantrum workers
yes it will pass, and yes, it's because she wants to be like her brothers and sister. my #4 is ALWAYS in a hurry to do everything, les she be left behind. it's the curse of the 'last'. just the way it is!!! she's a cutie!!!
