Nanny's Fish

Last night I had practice for a mother daughter dance that Bethany has asked me to do in proxy for Echo. I was gone for two hours. Apparently, while I was gone , Nanny cought the World's Giantest Fish. Maybe I should just call it the Pond's Giantest Fish. Up there, that's the pond at the farm. After the pond was made, Nanny had fish put in. Over the years, the fish have grown and we have caught some that were pretty large. Lately, Nanny has been trying a new way to catch giant fish. She puts a little baby carp on the line and uses that as bait. I guess it finally worked.

She looks all business there, but on the inside she is bursting with joy. I would also like to point out that we are not currently going through a cold snap. It was about 90 degrees outside, yesterday.I couldn't get this picture to turn to save my life. Just turn your head a little. Since I was not there when the photo was taken, I can only assume that this picture was taken sort of as a scale. If you know how large Jackson is, then you can see that that is a giant fish.

This picture is evidence that I was not there. I would not be able to watch as my son held a fish like that. It's one thing to hold it away from your body with just one hand but it looks like he is giving the fish a hug. There's not enough sanitizer in the world for those hands. (Mental note: must find that shirt and burn it)

There is that little bit of joy I was telling you about.

I am grateful that the hubby took these shots, but I should say that it was only at Nanny's request. She would like me to print one up for her to frame at her house. Seriously.

That fish is huge, and I can feel Aunt Juanita's joy from here...she's already been the subject of two blogs I've read this morning...I love how she carried it around to all ya'lls houses...what great pictures for all the great grandchildren.

Hey, have you visited Blurb.com? You can make books out of your blog...so then it's like a really journal...I haven't read too much into it yet, but it has spark a little more interest in my blogging...I would love to have a hard copy of my blog...just a little fyi

That fish is huge. Are you going to eat it?

Also - my mum's name is Juanita. This is not significant but still...

Also - I'll be done soon - you will be posting a vid of your proxy-mama/daughter dance won't you?

That is a so big. Brandin & his friends love to fish at Nanny's when we come to Ga. But is it normal practice to hug ( I see your child doing this) the fish. Love it lay beside it. Hold it in your lap. Ask it to dinner, pet it, love it then and onlt then gut and eat it? We love to catch fish but you Ga. people see crazy sometimes. You know its true so just laugh! PS. I am back to blogging stop by my sight.
