Write him in
So, yesterday, Mitt Romney "suspended" his run for President. I'm not really sure I understand what that means, and I do not care, because if he is not there I will be writing him in. Now many of you will say, "Amanda, that is just plain ignorant." That is totally ok with me. I will not be able to, in good conscience, pick one of the three that are left. (I say three because I refuse to even acknowledge Mike Huckabee.) I said on Gigi's blog that I will start a movement to write Mitt Romney's name in. Consider it started. Now all of you who believe that would be wasting your vote, that is fine, we can still be friends. Anyone who finds themselves in the same predicament as I, please feel free to write him in. At least I think you can still write someone in...

This is what a year looks like
So one year ago today, Emma Mae was born. I look back on that time and cannot believe that it has gone by so fast. I remember bringing her home and feeling so overwhelmed. Jackson started potty training right after we got home from the hospital which was sort of a double edged sword. It was great that he was on his way and I would only have to buy diapers for two kids but it was hard cleaning up pee, poo and nursing a newborn baby. I thought I would never make it through those rough days. But being in this place right this minute where I realize that I did make it through and I am only buying diapers for one kid, I also see that these days will all be over before I know it. I love that my kids are still at ages where everything is still magical and most of the time they are still so loving. Last night as we were putting the jammies on the kids I asked Jonathon, Jackson and Madi to
try to remember to wish Emma Mae a happy birthday this morning. Jonathon asked if turning one year meant that she would be able to walk. I said I didn't think so. So, of course this morning I totally forgot about that. I asked Jonathon if he would go get Emma Mae out of bed. He ran right back there to get her for me. Then I hear him saying, "Happy birthday Emma Mae, can you walk?" Then he runs into the living room and tells me, "She can't walk, yet...I'm going to go see if she can talk." Oh, the innocence of youth. It is moments like those that make it all worth while. Happy Birthday, Emma Mae!!

It Begins
I'm sorry there are no fun pictures, yet. There will be soon...if I can figure it out. I am officially starting my blog. This is very exciting.
This is a big time in our lives. Josh is very busy with work, which is a lot to be thankful for these days. But it does leave me with the kids a lot. I am trying not to stress out too much and just enjoy those crazy kids. We are usually in bed by 9pm. All of my friends know not to call my house past 8:30 because Josh and I have probably gone to bed. Yesterday the primarys were happenning so we were up to 10:45. I know that is shocking, but it is the truth. We wanted to see if our man Mitt would get enough states to pull through. It is the next morning now and I still don't know what will happen. I do know that this is the first time in our 9 years of marriage that Josh and I have agreed on a candidate...
Onto more fun subjects...There is not a lot going on with the kids right now. Emma Mae is crawling around and getting into the toilets. You can't imagine how hard it is to keep the bathroom doors closed at all times with toddlers running in and out of them. I swear I have seen more gross things than I could have imagined since I have become a mom. Jonathon is in the first grade and doing very well. He is great at math just like his dad. He is also a great speller. He told me this morning he has a secret about a girl named Jayce in his class. I said if you have a secret you should not go around announcing it. Jackson wants to do everything just like Jonathon which makes him the bain of his big brother's excistence. Madi walks around talking to herself and her toys all the time. She will be yelling things like help and stop and I'll go in the room and she is talking to her toys. I think this is totally normal, right...
I promise I'll get some pics up soon.
