First Day Official Pics

Off to school. Jonathon started the 2nd grade and Jackson started PreK. Everybody was very excited but when it came down to it, Jackson seemed really nervous. He didn't really say much and kept that same look on his face while I walked him in.

I asked Jonathon if he wanted us to all walk down to drop of Jackson and then walk him back to his class or if he wanted us to all walk to his class first. He said, 'I'm just gonna walk to my class by myself' and I snapped this picture as he was hurrying off. Can you see how happy he was to turn around and let me get a picture?

I had to quickly wipe away the tears and pain of being uninvited to walk Jonathon to class and get Jackson to his class.

See, still with that look. That's his teacher Ms. Chapman. She seems really nice and very organized. Which will be great for Jackson, just what he needs. I had to ask for his lunchroom pin number because I didn't take care of it on Sunday like I should have and she looked at me like a deer in headlights. I can see that she is not a go with the flow kind of gal like I am. Like I said, though, that kind of structure will be great for Jackson.

Just so you do not feel unloved I am making a comment. I loved the pics and love how you were able to get some really cute ones. We got the same look when we asked for the pin number those crazy teachers.

Even Maddi looks freaked. She's losing her buddy!

Jonathan makes me laugh. Has he started rolling his eyes yet when you speak to him?

Was Madi afraid you were going to leave her there too?? She looked more worried about Jackson than he did. I love first day of school pictures! There is a contest that you can send it the first day pics but it doesn't start until Oct or Nov. But I'll let every one know when it is.

Maddi does look VERY concerned. Her face is my favorite one. I hope everyone survived the first day of school and plan on returning to the second day.
What do you with your time now that you don't have the two crazy boys?

Hi Amanda..not sure you know me, but I went to school with your husband, like from elementary school on! :) Ya'll have the cutest family! And I enjoy reading your blogs! I found yours through Erin and Leah's blogs, I was friends with them in high school. Anyway, I saw your pictures of Jackson and his teacher Mrs. Chapman....she is an AWESOME teacher!! Very organized in deed, just an all around great teacher! I used to work at FACES with her about 3 years ago and she was one of my favorites! I sometimes miss working working with the kiddos, but I love staying home with my little boy! Tell Josh I said hello!

Kendra, Nice to meet ya. I'll have to mention to Josh that I met you. I'm so glad you enjoy my blog. I hope you will continue to check in on us. Feel free to add in any commentary at any time. Also, I can't believe you worked at Faces. You must have been there when Jonathon was there. He had Ms. Ezzell and the parapro (who really did all the work, cause Ezzell had had surgery) was Ms. Bradley.

Mrs. Chapman is a VERY GOOD TEACHER!! you really did luck up there. Jackson will enjoy her.
Yes, she does believe in routine, routine, and yes more routine!!
But for some of us stay at home mothers that is so HARD!! I am really trying to better about that this year since I have a 4th grader with LOTS of homework.

What year was your son there? I think I was there at FACES when Mrs. Ezzell had surgery, seems like she had a hip replacement? But I think that was the year I was pregnant with my son, and I went on temp. disability in Jan. '05. The classroom I was in was on the outside wing too, so I didn't get to see everyone out there. I remember Mrs. Bradley taking over for her. Jonathon reminds me sooo much of Josh when he was in elementary school! :)
